The cottage is very dear to us, and we hope you will treat it with care and respect. These instructions will help make your stay comfortable, safe and enjoyable.

We are available 24/7. For non-urgent matters, we kindly ask you to contact us between 9:00 and 19:00.
🔑 Key
The key is located in the key safe to the left of the front door. You will receive the key safe code before your stay.
- Please keep the key in the key safe whenever possible.
- Always return the key to the key safe when leaving the cottage.
- Please do not leave the key inside the cottage.
If you lock yourself out, a door-opening service fee of €40–60, depending on the time, will be charged.

🧹 Cleanliness Upon Arrival
Please check the cleanliness of the cottage immediately upon arrival.
If you notice any deficiencies, please contact the maintenance company immediately so that we can address the issue as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we are unable to respond to cleanliness complaints reported only afterwards.
🛏️ Equipment & Linen
The cottage is equipped with basic necessities, such as toilet paper, to help you get settled comfortably before your first shopping trip.
Bed linen and towels are not included in the accommodation price unless ordered separately.
Bed linen, towels and additional services such as breakfast and experiences can be ordered from here.
🧺 Washing Machine & Dishwasher
Before using either the washing machine or dishwasher, please:
- Open the water tap. The taps are located on the sink next to the main water tap.
- Use the appliance as normal.
- Close the water tap after use.
Please pay particular attention to this before leaving the cottage and make sure that both appliance taps are closed.

🌡️ Heating
Please do not change the settings of the air-source heat pump or the heating thermostats.
The temperature in the downstairs bedrooms remains stable when the bedroom doors are kept closed.
🔥 Sauna
The sauna is switched on and off from the entrance hall near the front door.
- The sauna heats up in approximately 30 minutes.
- Please do not keep the sauna stove on unnecessarily, as this may switch off the underfloor heating.
- Hot water is limited, so please use it sparingly.
- After using the sauna, please rinse the benches.
Drying clothes
Do not dry clothes in the sauna or on radiators. This creates a serious fire hazard.
There is a drying cabinet in the kitchen for drying clothes.
🔥 Fireplace
If you use the fireplace, always open the fireplace damper before lighting a fire.
The damper is located on the left side of the fireplace, near the front door. Open it by pulling it out approximately 5 cm. There is an instructional video for opening and closing the fireplace damper from here.
When using the fireplace:
- Start with a small fire.
- Do not burn more than approximately two loads of firewood.
- Let the embers burn out completely and naturally.
- Close the damper only after the embers have gone out.
The fireplace will continue to release heat for a considerable time after the damper has been closed, so please do not burn excessive amounts of wood.
Firewood can be found at the back of the carport. The cottage key also opens the door to the firewood storage area.
If you are unsure about using the fireplace, please contact the maintenance company.
♻️ Waste & Recycling
The property’s waste management includes:
- A green mixed-waste bin by the gate.
- A shared Ekopiste recycling point in Nuottirakka.
Recyclable materials and larger amounts of waste should be taken to the Ekopiste.
Before leaving:
- Empty all waste bins.
- Leave the yard clean and tidy.
⚠️ Safety
Please take particular care when using candles or outdoor fires.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited indoors.
- The apartment has four interconnected smoke alarms. If one detects a fire, all four alarms will sound.
- Please report any damage or broken items to the maintenance company as soon as possible.
- The tenant is responsible for any damage caused by candles or outdoor fires.
🚫 Important House Rules
For the comfort and safety of everyone, please note that:
- Parties are strictly prohibited.
- Rental hot tubs are not allowed.
- Charging electric vehicles is prohibited.
- Smoking indoors is strictly prohibited.
The property may have a resident staying in the basement apartment at the same time. The two apartments are completely separate and there is no access between them.
🕓 Check-in & Check-out
Check-in: from 16:00 (4:00 PM)
Check-out: by 11:00 AM at the latest
If you leave before the official check-out time, please let the maintenance company know by phone, email or text message.
✅ Before You Leave
Please make sure that:
☐ The key has been returned to the key safe.
☐ The washing machine and dishwasher water taps are closed.
☐ All waste bins have been emptied.
☐ The yard is left clean and tidy.
☐ You have taken all your personal belongings with you.
If final cleaning is included in your booking:
☐ Put the dishes in the dishwasher and start it, or wash the dishes by hand.
☐ Empty all waste bins.
☐ Remove any rented bed linen from the beds and leave it, for example, on the floor.
☐ Collect used towels and place them together with the used bed linen.
☐ Collect empty bottles and cans in a bag.
